Cooking Bajan Style: Frizzled Salt Fish

Frizzled Salt Fish Recipe Barbados

Frizzled Salt Fish is a dish made in every household in Barbados, this delicacy is an alternative use of the salt fish typically associated with Bajan fishcakes. We have the recipe for you to try!
 

INGREDIENTS:

1 lb salt fish
a pinch of black pepper
red pepper (finely diced)
clove of garlic (finely diced)
sprig chive(finely diced)
1 onion (finely diced)
Sprig sweet marjoram
1 large tomato (finely diced)
Bottle of Olive Oil

METHOD:

Soak salt fish, squeeze dry and pound finely
Boil fish approximately 5 mins
Rinse with cold water, squeeze dry & put into a bowl
Mix with fish with fresh Bajan seasonings
Stir fry fish with ingredients & Bajan seasonings.
Garnish with parsley or thyme
