Sugar Sticks

14th December, 2012

No, we are not speaking of the trendy little sticks with granules of sugar at the end that you stir your coffee or tea with. What we are in fact talking about is a traditional and very rustic Barbadian candy prepared by many of the 'old school' locals and sold through out the island. These sugar sticks, about 5 inches in length, are buttery and flaky as you bite into them. Have them on their own as a  sweet snack, or better yet dipped in tea or coffee. Have you ever tried this treats?
