No, Shark's Hole is not laden with sharks as its name emanates, but rather, is arguably one of the most serene beaches on the South East of Barbados. Located in St.Philip, this tranquil hide away is just about 'off the beaten track'. The small bay with its soft pink sand and crystal clear water is popular among the locals on weekends but very quiet and serene during the weekdays. The bay is enclosed by a natural reef located a short distance from the shore, this causes the waters to be calm, however, if the seas are rough there can be a undertow so take caution. The bay is bordered by low sea-cliffs and unusual rock formations which are complimented by unique landscaping. Shark's Hole is a great bay for snorkelling with a variety of tropical reef fish.

This hidden gem is well worth a visit, so pack your beach baskets and head down to Shark's Hole for a day you will never forget!
