Avast ye mateys here be where a treasure lies! Pirates Cove is Located on the Northern end of Carlisle Bay just steps away from the islands capital of Bridgetown. Carlisle Bay is named after the Earl of Carlisle who stole Barbados away from Sir William Courteen in the Great Barbados Robbery. Today Carlisle Bay has the whitest sand in Barbados and the most brilliant turquoise sea. The Carlisle Bay Marine Park has 6 shipwrecks in closeproximity. The great diversity of brilliantly coloured marine life include, turtles, star fish, sand dollars, rays and more. The name Pirates Cove is most fitting as it was in Carlisle Bay that a young Scottish Indentured servant fleeing a life of slavery became the pirate “Red Leg Greaves” The beach at Pirates Cove is lined with coconut trees and dotted with coconut thatched umbrellas. The bamboo bar is a great place to hang out and have a pirates brew or a signature pirates burger. Local and international cuisine is available along with a craft market and souvenir stands to make your pirates experience a complete one.
