Accommodation Review: The Rooms at The Crane Resort
7th June, 2013We have heard all about the beach, the history and the resort in general, now it is time to chat a little about where we slept, IE our rooms! As we arrived at the breezy Crane hotel we were greeted with chilled peppermint infused towels and a complimentary rum punch, a pretty good start to the weekend if we would say so ourselves! We were then escorted to our rooms by the lovely, well mannered and friendly Crane employee, Grantley.
Kim stayed in one of the Residences in the Park, a recently added room division to the Crane Resort. The kitchen was put together and ready for use and the bedroom had a grand, handcrafted king size four-poster bed. After touring the 1 bedroom deluxe room we ventured on out to the gallery area which had views of the hotel and little snippets of the ocean. We then made our way up a spiral set of stairs and to our surprise; there was a great rooftop deck with its own private pool, BBQ and lounge chairs. The perfect place for entertaining your guests! We only then realized that this was the one Bedroom Deluxe Penthouse Roof Top Pool Park room!
I stayed in the one bedroom ocean view suite and boy did it have an amazing and very expansive view of the Atlantic Ocean. The rooms are similar in terms of the kitchen, bedroom and living room, however, this room had a shower and Jacuzzi tub and a slightly bigger bathroom altogether. We were both exceptinally thrilled with our rooms and super exicted to start this weekend getaway.
One of our favorite aspects of the rooms at The Crane Resort is the fact that you feel like utter royalty no matter the room type. All room categories in the Residential Resort and in the Residences in the Park feature hardwood flooring or stone tile floors, handcrafted king size four poster beds, mahogany furnishings, floor to ceiling cedar doors, traditional Barbadian coral stone walls, air-conditioning, direct dial telephone, iron and ironing board, safety deposit box and data port access. The Rooms have been tastefuly designed and are not typically “tropical” or “cheesy”. Very coastal chic with the dark wood and white linens. The dark wood resembles the more inland areas of the island, the whites and creams bringing that element of lightness of the beach back into the décor.
All in all we had delightful experiences in our very spacious rooms. To give you an idea of costing for the rooms, The 1 Bedroom Ocean View Suite ranges from 600 USD- 1250 USD and the One Bedroom Deluxe Penthouse ranges from 640 USD- 1350 USD. These prices include all taxes. Now for the locals, The Crane Resort has incredible Staycation packages from June- November. It is best to contact them at reservations@thecrane.com to find out all the best prices and packages they offer to residents of Barbados!
