Explore Offline with iLand Guide

Oh how we love lugging around with big old magazines and maps (which for the most part we can't read) when we travel! Okay no we don't, or at least I don't! Luckily, us travelers today are blessed with a little something called technology. The only problem we face with this technology when we travel are those lovely roaming fees that appear on our telephone bill when we return home. Luckily for all of those visiting our island of Barbados, there is a new App on the market which you can download and browse all the Barbados information you could ever want completely offline! Let us introduce you to iLandGuide Barbados app.

Exploring Barbados is easy with the FREE iLandGuide Barbados app for Android, iPhone and Blackberry 10. Although the island doesn’t have many road signs, the built in GPS and detailed offline map will ensure that you always know where you’re going. Not only does iLandGuide include all the beaches, restaurants, shopping areas, sightseeing points, party places and other key information, it also has a built in events calendar, currency converter and list of promotions and activities. All features of the app work offline which means once you’ve downloaded the app at a Wi-Fi hotspot you won’t have to worry about roaming or data charges.

How to download the app:

Search for iLandGuide Barbados in the Google Play Store or App Store and install. You can also visit www.ilandguide.com from your smartphone and download the app from our mobile website.

Note that the first time you launch the app it may take up to 60 seconds while the data syncs with your phone.  After the initial launch, the app will load in 5 – 10 seconds. You can use your device’s menu button to find quick access keys for the events calendar, promotions list, historical and general information about Barbados, information about our featured offers, the currency converter, travel notebook and app settings.
