Barefoot on the Beach: Dover Beach Barbados

Now we all know Barbados has beautiful beaches  and here is yet another one. Located on the South Coast of Barbados - St. Lawrence Gap to be exact - is Dover Beach where there is literally never a dull moment. Due to the high density of hotels and tourist attractions in the area, Dover Beach is always buzzing with activity, there is good reason. The large expanse of pink sand along with the aqua-marine water should be enough, however, it does not stop there. At Dover Beach there are beach chairs and umbrellas for rent, toilets, showers, food stands selling Barbadian delights, children's playground and a life guard on full time duty. Additionally, there are always water sports such as jet skis, banana boats and doughnuts near by.

If you are in the mood to surf, Barry's Surf School is located just down from Dover Beach. You can either be taught or rent boards and teach yourself as usually there are perfect size waves for beginners at Dover Beach. So if you're in the area, Dover is a fun filled beach waiting for you to visit.
