Accommodation Review: Santosha {part 2}
11th February, 2013A little while ago we introduced you to a little hidden gem known as Santosha. Today we are going to continue that journey and tell you all about the rooms and what we encounted while staying at this set of mini villas. As we entered the room, we were greeted by spectacular and never-ending views of the East coast, which ran for miles and miles. It is a complete and utter breath of fresh air as you walk out onto the spacious wooden gallery and take in all that Santosha has to offer. Omar graciously showed us around the top floor studio suite which was fully equipped from the modern kitchenette to the newly renovated bathroom. We honestly could not wait to put down all our bags and just sit out on the gallery to enjoy the fresh salt air in our faces and hear the Atlantic pounding against the shore.
The studio suite is a reasonable size with a lovely king size bed. We were very surprised with the modern and ultra chic kitchenette with its touch screen stove top and oven. One of the most important factors about staying in any type of accommodation is the cleanliness- Santosha is very clean and has such a fresh feeling to it. Not once did I think, “oh are these bed sheets clean?” No I just jumped right in. Not only is there a gorgeous view from your room which you can sit down and enjoy but you have the choice to lounge or take a swim in the pool which is situated just below the apartments.
Without closing off, I must mention Joanne, the owner of Santosha as she was very accommodating, offering us some hand picked DVD's from her personal collection! One of a kind service if I say so myself!
A few Suggestions and Tips:
- Bring along the majority of food and drinks you need. Not to worry, you can get the necessities at the supermarket in Belleplaine which is a few minutes away.
- The beach near Santosha is lovely but can become secluded at times so do not venture far by yourself.
- The East coast sea can be very dangerous, so please be cautious when swimming.
- Bring your toiletries along with you.
Honestly, if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle and have a relaxing, peaceful place to stay, then Santosha is the perfect choice.
