What's Happening: Errol Barrow Day

21st January, 2013
Bottom Bay Barbados

For us here in Barbados, today is a public holiday- Errol Barrow Day. This holiday is to commemorate Errol Barrow, a former Barbadian Prime Minister as he helped lead Barbados to Independence from the United Kingdom. This holiday is set on his birthday, the 21st January and after Errol Barrow's sudden death in 1987, the holiday was started in 1989 to honour him and his work.
