Barbados February Events 2015

One month down, eleven more to go! As January comes to an end, February is already filled with lots of fun and interesting events! Have a look at what’s happening in Barbados this February!

Barbados February Event 1. Barbados Horticultural Society - Annual Flower and Garden Show: The annual flower and garden show will be held at the Barbados Horticultural Society’s headquarters in Balls, Christ Church February 1st from 10:00AM until 6:00PM. Local vendors set up stalls with many beautiful plants, pots, crafts, jewellery and preserves for sale. Refreshments and snacks will be available, and tea from 2:00PM onward. Admission is $20.00 BDS for adults, and $7.00 BDS for children under 12 years old.

Barbados February Event 2. Football: Barbados vs. Guyana: The Barbados Football Federation begins their domestic season with an international friendly match between Barbados and Guyana. The match will take place on February 1st 2015 at the National Stadium, Waterford, St. Michael, with the gates opening at 3:00PM and the match beginning at 7:00PM. Admission for VIP is $20.00 BDS, regular admission $15.00.

Barbados February Event 3. Motor Sport Race Meet No. 2: The Clash of Champions Race Meet is round two of the 2015 Championship Series, promoted by the Bushy Park Motor Sport Inc. The event will take place from February 14th to February 15th at Bushy Park, St. Phillip from 9:30AM to 5:30PM. Admission for clubhouse is $25.00 BDS, admissions for grounds is $20.00.

Barbados February Event 4. Hike Barbados: Special Hike – Independence Square (Great Train Hike): An adventurous event around Barbados invites you to explore the cane fields, gullies, tropical forest and coastal communities of Barbados. With the hike commencing in Fairchild Street in Bridgetown, St. Michael finishing in Belleplaine, St. Andrew. This 25+ mile hike is not a loop, and participants are strongly encouraged to make arrangements to be collected at any point they wish. The hike begins at 6:00AM, admission is free.

Barbados February Event 5. Barbados Museum: Scarlet Gala: This special event fundraiser includes cocktails and dinner to celebrate and support the Preservation of Barbados’ Rich Heritage. This black tie/suit event will be held on February 28th at the Barbados Museum, Garrison St. Michael with door prizes and an auction. Call 427-0201 to make reservations or for more information.
