What's Happening: Barbados Events May 2014

Barbados May Event 1. Frame & Art Exhibition: Balade en Mar by Rosalie Chiara - Opening Night: This exhibition of contemporary art will be held on the 9th May at The Frame & Art Co, Millhouse Complex, Canewood,. St Michael from 6 PM-8:30 PM. Rosalie's work features original artwork on unique pieces of driftwood and salvaged wood giving these pieces new life and purpose. Barbados May Event 2. Barbados Turf Club Second Horse Racing Season 2 - Day 1: The Barbados Turf Club organizes 3 seasons of racing per year at the Garrison Savannah. This event will be held on the 10th May from 12:30 PM to approximately 5:45 PM and entrance fee to the various stands ranges from BBD $10.00 to $100.00 for the day. Admission is free to the grounds. Barbados May Event 3. Royal Barbados Police Force Band in Concert: The Royal Barbados Police Band will be having a concert on the 16th May at the newly developed Church Village Green starting at 5:00 PM. The admission is FREE for all!

Barbados May Event 4. Top Gear Festival and Red Bull Rallycross: This is going to be one of the most popular events this month in Barbados, with the UK Top Gear presenters and "The Stig" in a super action packed motoring weekend. This event will be held on the 17th and 18th May at the newly renovated Bushy Park Circuit. Barbados May Event 5. Scotiabank King of the Hill: This motoring event is the weekend before Sol Rally Barbados; the most popular motoring event in Barbados. It will be held on the 25th May! In the Speed Event cars run individually, even though two or more individual runs may be taking place concurrently. The winner is the competitor who covers the distance in the least time. For this speed event some public roads will be closed.

Barbados May Event 6. Sol Rally Barbados 2014: This is the Barbados Rally Club's premier event and one of the biggest motoring events in the Caribbean. Visitors and competitors from the UK, Ireland, Caribbean and many other countries will be here on island for this event. There are 14 classes to be won as well as the overall and 2WD championships. This event will be held over 2 days: 31st May and the 1st June! Admission is free and it is fun for all!
