Barbados January 2014 Event 1. Dinner with George - This event continues on the 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th of January. You are invited to dine like how George Washington did in 1751. 

A scrumptious 5 course 18th century dinner will be enjoyed in the very dining room of the house that George Washington spent 6 weeks of his life, when just 19 years old.
 Step into the past as you enter the grounds. Chat with George while eating at the long dining table, in a room lit only by candles.  Attended by staff in period dress with beautiful music played by musicians in the entrance hall, the atmosphere is completed by the sight and sound of a horse in the courtyard.
 With places at the table for just 30 guests, this event occurs every Monday. Wine, rum and local juices are included and served throughout the evening. A selection of fine champagnes are available for an additional cost.
 For further details, emailinfo@barbadosgarrison.org. The dinner starts at 7:00 PM  and costs $250.00 BBD, the dinner will be held at the house of George Washington, Bush Hill, Garrison, St. Michael.

Barbados January 2014 Event 2. Night Tour of the Garrison Historic Area- This event will be held on the 3rd, 17th and 31st January. The route is as follows: Stafford House, The Main Guard, Sparks Gap to the Military Cemetery, along the beach past St Ann's Fort and up to Highway 7 past the guns on display and back to the Stables Coffee Shop. Remember to wear comfortable clothes and shoes, it starts at 6:45 PM and ends at 8:30 PM. Admission is $20 BBD for adults and $10 BBD for children ages 5-12 years. Barbados January 2014 Event 3. Naniki Jazz Safari- Naniki is hosting its second Caribbean Jazz Safari throughout the Caribbean territories. This year the event will be from the 16th-21st January. Tickets: General Admission $80.00, Season Tickets $420.00, VIP $175.00, Children $40.00 - Under 5 free. Box Offices are all Trimart Supermarkets;  Ticket Centre, Warrens; A&B Soundz, Sheraton; CS Pharmacy, Bridgetown. Barbados January 2014 Event 4. Mount Gay Rum Round Barbados Race- This race is promoted by Mount Gay Distilleries, the Barbados Cruising Club and the Barbados Tourism Authority. The 'round island course is approximately 70 miles and the race starts and ends in Carlisle Bay. This event will be held on the 21st January and there are various viewing points around the island which you can watch. These being: Carlisle Bay (Start 0700 to 1200 hrs), Holetown (0815 to 1245hrs), Speightstown (0915 to 1315 hrs), Cattlewash (1200 to 1500 hrs), Crane (1400 to 1530), Oistins (1600 to 1730 hrs), Carlisle Bay (Finish 1630 to 1800 hrs).

Barbados January 2014 Event 5. Honey Jazz- Ladies Sing the Blues- This event will be held on the 19th January at the Frank Collymore Hall from 7:00PM. Admission is $50 BBD. Ladies from Honey Jam will be singing the blues, Backed by The Jazz Blues Street, featuring musicians from The 1688 Orchestra!
