So many events; so little time! Barbados is a buzz with jovial celebration, as the Crop Over season has entered the month of July and is currently in full swing. So what’s hot this season? Just about everything! It might seem a little overwhelming as our Crop Over calendar is overflowing with endless summer parties and limes. But no need to worry, Loop Barbados is here with the top 5 events not to miss this Crop Over Season:

1.    Battle Soca Royal- The boxing gloves are on as the top soca artist for the season battle for the title of King or Queen of the Sweet Soca Monarch and Party Monarch for 2016. It’s going to be an epic showdown as artists pull out all the stops, with lavish performances and spectacular showcases to impress both the judges and crowd. This event will be held on the 24th July 2016

2.    Foreday Morning Jam- The biggest Caribbean summer J’ouvert party ever! Experience the most exhilarating celebration of the season as revelers party down the Spring Garden Highway covered in paint, powder, water and even chocolate! Grab a drink, take in some of the seasons greatest hits and party all night into the early morning. It’s an unforgettable experience for all.  Don’t miss it on the party of the century on July 29th  2016.

3.    Pic-o-de-Crop- The race for the highly anticipated 2016 Pic-o-de-crop title is here! The finalist will take to the stage to compete for the highly anticipated crown! It’s a night filled with rhythm, melody and laughter as local musicians take on the big issues in song. Check out these show stopping performances on July 30th at Kensington Oval St. Micheal.

4.    Bridgetown Market- A five-day street fair with local artists lining the streets showcasing their arts and crafts among other locally produced artifacts. Come out between July 30th- August 2nd and explore the local culture while enjoying Barbadian street food, music and drinks.

Grand Kadooment- The most anticipated event of the Crop Over season! A massive showcase of colour and festivities as revelers take to the streets in extravagant locally designed costumes. It’s a sea of endless feathers, glitter and gems as people of all walks of life and from every corner of the world travel to Barbados to participate in the marvelous phenomenon. If you are looking for endless drinks, food, music and an atmosphere of complete euphoria, this is the event for you! On August 1st 2016 its time to party all day long and wave goodbye to the year’s Crop over season
