5 secrets to the best vacation in Barbados

We love travelers to become part of Barbados and have the best possible vacation their money can buy! As a result, we have come up with a few tips you can take with you when you come on over and visit us here in Barbados. Below we will tell you the 5 secrets to the best vacation in Barbados which utilize all five of your senses!

  • See - Evie Fritz once said "people who only see with their eyes and not their heart miss the details of beauty" and this is not more true. When you visit Barbados rent a car and drive- drive with open eyes, mind and heart and you will be blown away by the beauty you embark upon. Whether it be the hills of the Scotland district or the tiffany turquoise waters of the secluded South East coast, just embrace what you see and live in the moment.
  • Taste -Do not be afraid to taste the food of Barbados; to some it may be a tad scary (pickled pork or fish and egg cutters) but take the risk and you will be rewarded! Do not stick to hamburgers and french fries but rather have the flying fish and breadfruit chips!
  • Smell - As you are touring the island, turn off that AC, roll down your car windows and smell the clean, fresh salt or country air! It seriously is one of the best smells in the entire world!
  • Feel- Don't just touch but feel, feel the sand in between your toes, and the warm waters as you dive into it. Feel the hot sun warming your skin and the the salt in your hair.
  • Listen - Talk to the people and listen to our music. Barbadians are very friendly people so ask questions and listen to their answers - they have the best advice as it is their island! Listen to their music and feel it in your bones. Calypso is a synthetic blend of chiefly African and British elements so don't be surprised when you start swaying your hips to its beat!

Happy Barbadosing!!
